Web design and development
websites built to bring in work.

A website is only worth having if it brings in enquiries. That means it loads fast on a phone, Google can read it, it explains clearly what you do and where, and the contact form actually reaches you. We build websites and web apps for businesses anywhere in the UK, from our base in Blackpool. Under the design we specialise in the parts most web designers do not touch: APIs, databases, encryption and two-factor sign-in.

TM Kershaw Joinery: designed, built and hosted by us.

Recent sites include TM Kershaw Joinery, a bespoke joinery firm, and YAGI Logistics, a Blackpool packing and fulfilment company, which we also run a lead generation campaign and client portal for.

What you get

  • A custom design for your business, not a recycled template
  • Mobile-first build that loads fast on a phone signal
  • SEO built in: page titles, descriptions, structured data, sitemap and Google Search Console set-up
  • A contact form that is tested and delivers to your inbox, plus click-to-call and WhatsApp
  • Secure hosting, SSL and your own domain, with monitoring
  • Simple visitor analytics so you can see where enquiries come from

Websites that do more than sit there

Because we also build software, your website can connect to the rest of the business: enquiries into a CRM, bookings into a booking system, a client login, or a live product feed. Start simple and add these when they make sense.

Who it is for

Trades and joiners, logistics and manufacturing firms, salons, hospitality, professional services and any business in Blackpool, across Lancashire or anywhere in the UK that wants a site that wins work rather than just existing.

How it works and what it costs

A short call to understand your business and customers, a written scope with a fixed price, then design, build and launch, usually within two to four weeks. Hosting is a small monthly fee covering the domain, SSL, contact form and monitoring.

The technical detail

Built with

  • React with Next.js or Vite, pre-rendered to static pages so they load fast and Google can read every word
  • Hosted on Azure Static Web Apps: global CDN, free SSL and your own domain
  • Images sized and compressed for phones, scripts kept to a minimum

SEO and search

  • Page titles, descriptions and canonical URLs on every page
  • Structured data (schema.org JSON-LD): business, services, FAQs and breadcrumbs
  • XML sitemap, image sitemap and robots.txt, submitted in Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools
  • llms.txt so AI search tools can describe your business correctly, and IndexNow pings when pages change
  • Checked with Google Lighthouse before launch

APIs, databases and security

  • REST APIs on Azure Functions or Node.js, so the site can talk to your CRM, booking system, stock or accounts
  • PostgreSQL databases behind logins, portals and forms, designed around your data
  • Encryption in transit and at rest: HTTPS everywhere, encrypted databases and storage, passwords hashed, keys kept out of the code
  • Two-factor sign-in (2FA) on any login: Microsoft MFA, or authenticator-app codes with backup codes
  • Role-based access and an audit trail on anything that holds customer data

Forms and analytics

  • Contact form on an Azure Function sending through authenticated SMTP, with a spam trap and an allow-list of the sites that may post to it
  • Daily automated test of the form, so a broken form is spotted the same morning
  • Cookie-free visitor analytics through our own tracking endpoint: no third-party scripts
  • Security headers and caching set at the host

Questions people ask

How long does a new website take?

Usually two to four weeks from the scoping call to launch, depending on the number of pages and how quickly content is agreed.

Will my website show up on Google?

We build every site to be read easily by Google, submit it to Search Console and set up the basics of local SEO. Rankings take time and depend on competition, so we never promise a position, but we give you the strongest start.

Do you only work with Blackpool businesses?

No. We are based in Blackpool and work with businesses across Lancashire and the UK.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes, where it makes sense, or we can make changes for you as part of hosting so you never have to log into anything.

Tell us where the bottleneck is.

A short call, under NDA if you prefer. We will tell you honestly whether we can help, how we would do it and what it would cost. No business too small or too big.
