Bespoke systems · Lancashire

Bespoke software development
that fits how you work.

When a spreadsheet has quietly become your system, or you pay for three tools that do not talk to each other, the business ends up working for the software. Bespoke software turns that round: a CRM, order system, booking system or client portal built around how your business actually runs.

We are a software company in Blackpool, Lancashire, working with businesses across the UK. You deal with the people who build it, Jason and Melissa, from the first conversation to the day it goes live.

What we build

  • Custom CRM systems: customers, contacts, deals and follow-ups, the way your team sells
  • Client portals: a secure login where your customers see their orders, documents and reports
  • Order management systems for wholesale and e-commerce
  • Booking and appointment systems, with reminders and cancellation handling
  • Warehouse management systems, like the WMS we built for YAGI Logistics
  • Integrations with Xero, Sage, Shopify, couriers and marketplaces

Replacing spreadsheets without losing what works

Most of our projects start from a spreadsheet that has grown for years. We keep the logic that works, move the data into a proper database with backups, access control and an audit trail, and give each person the screens they need. Your data comes with you; nothing is lost in the move.

How we work

Tell us where the bottlenecks are, under NDA if you prefer. We write a scope with you, agree whether and how we can achieve it, then build in stages you can see and test. Fixed-price quotes, no hourly surprises.

You receive the intellectual property in the system we build for you on final payment, and every system is built with UK GDPR in mind.

Who it is for

Any business that has outgrown its spreadsheets or its off-the-shelf tools: trades, salons and hospitality, accountants and solicitors who want a client portal, manufacturers, wholesalers and logistics firms. No business is too small or too big.

The technical detail

Built with

  • React and TypeScript front ends, with Next.js or Vite
  • Node.js or Python (FastAPI) back ends exposing a REST API
  • PostgreSQL relational databases, designed around your data, with rules enforced in the database, not just on screen
  • Hosting on Microsoft Azure: Static Web Apps, Azure Functions, Azure Database for PostgreSQL and Blob Storage, or Docker where it suits

Security

  • Microsoft Entra ID single sign-on for staff, using your existing Microsoft 365 accounts and MFA
  • Role-based access, so each person sees the screens their job needs
  • Audit log of every change, version history and scheduled backups
  • Database firewalls limited to known IP addresses, secrets kept out of the code

Testing and releases

  • Automated tests on the business rules, and browser tests with Playwright on the screens
  • Git version control; every release can be rolled back
  • Built and tested on a copy of the system before anything goes live

Questions people ask

Is bespoke software affordable for a small business?

Often more than people expect. We quote a fixed price after scoping, build only what you need, and price it to pay for itself through time saved or sales won.

How long does a bespoke system take?

A focused tool takes two to four weeks. A full CRM, order, warehouse or booking system usually runs six to twelve weeks.

Can you work with the systems we already have?

Yes. We connect to accounts packages, e-commerce platforms, databases and spreadsheets and keep what already works.

Who owns the software?

You receive the intellectual property in the system we build for you on final payment. Our own reusable tools and methods stay ours.

Will you sign an NDA before we talk?

Yes, happily, before any figures or details are shared.

Tell us where the bottleneck is.

A short call, under NDA if you prefer. We will tell you honestly whether we can help, how we would do it and what it would cost. No business too small or too big.
